Sealing Of HEPA Filters also called Gel Sealing Filter, is a typical pharmaceutical ceiling HEPA housing (above technician’s head). This system is popular in the pharmaceutical industry. The HEPA filters can be removed creating little exposure to the plenum above, and less chance of contaminating the cleanroom in the process of changing the filter. The filter has a gel track around its perimeter (blue) which seals into a knife edge in the housing.
