The test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The test utilizes a
combination of antibodies including a monoclonal LH antibody to
selectively detect elevated levels of LH. The test strip include:(1) a conjugate pad containing anti-βLH antibody coupled to colloidal gold, and(2) nitrocellulose membrane containing
a test line (T line) and a control line (C line). When the
absorbent end is immersed into a sample, the sample is absorbed into the device by capillary action and mixes with the antibody-dye conjugate.The complex
migrates along the membrane to the mouse anti-α-LH antibody test
region (T), and remains captured in the T line.
