This is the lightest material available and the same carbon that is used to create Scott’s tour level road bikes. HMX carbon ensures an incredibly lightweight ride despite its classification of an eBike. The drive unit itself is lightweight as well, onto the hub, nearly invisibly from a distance. Overall, the bike comes in at less than 24 pounds, on par with some standard road bikes. The driving force behind the Scott Addict eRide 20 is its Mahle Ebikemotion X35+ Hub Motor. The motor can be controlled througha remote on the top tube or through an app on your smartphone.
