This full suspension machine has the compliance to take on extremely technical descents, the low weight to fly up tough climbs, and the stability to go fast in any situation. The Mach 5.5 is optimized for smaller 27.5 inch wheels which makes it easier to bounce around edges and rocky sections with speed and nimble confidence. This version is complete with a Fox Factory 36 fork which adds a strong 160mm of travel to the front of the bike, making it more capable on tough terrain. It is finished off with a Shimano XT/XTR 12-speed groupset for some of the best trail-specific shifting on the market. Regardless of where you take it, the Pivot Mach 5.5 will encourage you to push your limits and have fun while you do. The Mach 5.5 frame is constructed with a lightweight high modulus carbon fiber that allows complete bike to come in at under 27 pounds. Despite its ultra-light weight, the Mach 5.5 matches the durability of the Mach 6. The incredibly stiff and strong carbon fiber that is used to make the frame has a hollow core to save weight while remaining durable enough for a challenging trail ride. This high tech design allows the Pivot Mach 5.5 to be lighter in weight than the vast majority of trail or endurance bikes. A well balanced geometry is what helps the Pivot Mach 5.5 become such a versatile trail bike. The cockpit is long and low to keep a low center of gravity and add stability to your ride. It features a 66.5 degree head angle which is perfect for promoting stability at high speeds and taking on technical descents. The Mach 5.5 also has an evolved version of Pivot’s mid-travel link design. They used the same rear-shock pivot cartridge-bearing technology found on their longer travel models to give this trail bike outstanding small bump compliance. A Fox Factory Live Valve electronic suspension adds 140mm of rear travel, creating a very complaint bike in a lightweight and compact design.
