PFA Features:
(1) Fine plasticity: PFA has the excellent
properties of PTFA. In high temperature environment, its mechanical strength is higher than that of FEP. At the same time, it is also a kind of fine fluorocarbon polymer with fusion mobility.
This kind of resin can be directly processed into products by way of common thermo-plasticity forming method.
(2) Excellent corrosion resistance property: The vast majority of
chemicals cannot damage PFA. Its chemical resistance performance is similar to that of PTFE,even better than VDF.
(3) In a vast temperature range, it can keep its mechanical strength
stable: PFA can keep its flexibility from very low temperature to very high temperature, and
even can be used continuously at the highest temperature of 260℃, similar to PTFE. This is the highest temperature at which fluorocarbon polymer can be continuously used.
(4) Excellent electrical characteristics: In a wide frequency,
PFA's dielectric constant is very low and stable. In a vast range of temperature and frequency, insulation loss coefficient is very low and stable. The volume resistivity is high. The insulation
disruptive strength is very high.
(5) Noninflammability: PFA, similar to PTFE and
FEP, is also a flame proofing polymer. Its limit oxygen index is larger 95%, flame resistance rank is UL94 standard V0.
(6) Fine weather resistance: Even exposed in rain and
wind, the special property of PFA will not change.
(7)Non-stickness and low friction: PFA has good performance of
non-stickness, water proof and oil proof properties and can also resist other materials due to its smooth surface.
PFA Physical Properties:
PFA is a copolymer of a small amount of PPVE and PTFE. PFA's fusion stickiness increases and its solution viscosity decreases, but
its properties are similar to PTFE. This kind of resin can be directly processed into products by way of common thermo-plasticity forming method.
The long term application temperature of
PFA is -80℃to 260℃. With excellent chemical resistance property, it can resist corrosion of all chemicals. The frication coefficient of PFA is the lowest among all plastics. In addition,
with has good electric property, its insulation performance is not affected by temperature. As a result, it is called "King of Plastics".
The chemical resistance property of PFA is
similar to that of PTFE but better than VDF.
The creep resistance and compression
strength of PFA are better than VDF. The tensile strength of PFA is very high, with elongation rate of 100-300%. In addition, it has excellent dielectricity and excellent radiation resistance.
Non-toxic: PFA has
excellent physical inertia. It can be implanted in human body.
Useage: suitable for electrical and electronic industry insulating layer, high frequency and uhf wire insulation,
electronic devices, insulation parts cable insulation and sheath, connector plug,bearing insulation, printed circuit boards, electrostatic megaphone to use membrane, etc. Especially the small
size thin-wall insulation line, its processing speed is more then general PTFE twined materials many times.
