The number of alternatives to consider per move is enormous and that computational complexity impeded the creation of a computer program that was a strong player. Thus, the first victory of a
computer program against a professional Go player on a 19x19 board had not been achieved until 2016.
Go is typically played on the intersections of a grid of 19 lines by 19, but beginners play on a 9х9 board. As our games are created for younger children, we have chosen a 9x9 board.
