PRODUCT OVERVIEW Rata resistive reactive load bank is used to test the rated power factor of engine generator. Power factor is a measure of the efficiency of converting load current into active power output. This is a good indicator of the effect of load current on generator efficiency. This page shows the picture of rata 2500kW resistive reactive load bank The structures of common resistive reactive load banks include: Resistor - the resistor is connected in the row. Each cylinder bank is energized to simulate the linear load of the generator. Inductor - the main component of the tester is the iron core reactive element. Externally wound copper coil or aluminum coil, when combined with resistance load tester, will produce lagging power factor load. Capacitor – the main component of this tester is the capacitor bank. Its working principle is similar to that of reactor system. The dielectric material in the capacitor changes the power factor to the leading power factor. The load provided by the device simulates the typical electronic or nonlinear load in the telecommunications, computer or UPS industry.
