Due to the center of spherical raceway of outer ring which is coinciding with the center of bearing, this makes it have a self-aligning capability. If there is a deflection of the shaft or housing or misalignment of their axes, it is automatically corrected the excessive force which is not applied to bearings. Spherical roller bearing has a high load carrying capacity for radial load and axial load in two directions. An oil groove and holes are provided in the outer ring to supply lubricant and the bearing numbers are suffixed “W33”.
