Rolo is famously recalled for its strapline ‘do you love anyone enough to give them your last Rolo?’ and with the perfect combination of smooth chocolate and melting caramel all in one bite-sized piece, you can understand why! Each chocolate in a tube of Rolos are cylindrical in shape and filled with a soft caramel centre, with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. The delicious combination of sweet, buttery, smooth golden toffee encased in a milk chocolate cup. First manufactured by Mackintosh in 1937 (followed by Rowntree’s in 1969 after the takeover), this roll-style candy has been made by Nestle since 1998. Production transferred to Nestle’s Newcastle factory where they continue to be made in their billions to this day. Rolo uses sustainable sources of cocoa from the Nestle Cocoa Plan, supporting farmers for better chocolate.
