Granulated Blast Furnace Slag

Granulated Blast Furnace Slag refers to the slag of an ironmaking blast furnace. In the high temperature melting state, it is rapidly cooled with water to become a granulated foam shape, milky white, light and crisp, porous, easy to grind into fine powder. It is a soft material for foam silicate building products, slag sound-absorbing bricks, heat insulation layer and water absorption layer.  Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is formed by rapidly cooling molten blast furnace slag in water, mainly through two methods: slag pool water quenching and furnace front water quenching.  Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is used as a building material for the production of cement and concrete. Due to its potential hydraulic cementitious properties, it can be used as a high-quality cement raw material under the action of cement clinker, lime, gypsum, and other activators. It can be made into slag silicate cement, gypsum slag cement, lime slag cement, slag bricks, slag concrete, etc. It can also be used as a raw material for the production of environmentally friendly cement bricks.
