As MTAC is compounded into a consumer or industrial sealant or adhesive, it reacts with the silicone. After curing the parent silane becomes cross-linked into the silicone rubber matrix and no longer exists, this greatly reduces the potential for consumer or worker exposure.   § MTAC is often the main crosslinker of choice for silicone sealants and can be used by itself or in combination with other acetoxysilane to provide the sealant with targeted properties (such as desired cure rate, adhesion, etc).                         Safety & Storage   Customers should review the latest MSDS and label for product safety information, safe handling instructions, personal protective equipment if necessary, and any special storage conditions required for safety.
