24 Balls and 2 Outdoor Nets Buyer and Importer

To whom it may concern, My name is Cecilia Gomes, an Angolan student currently studying at the Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong. I am part of the MTA- Movimento Teresiano Apostólico (Teresian Apostolic Movement), a training center for volleyball athletes in my hometown, Luanda, capital of Angola. I would like to kindly propose to you the project "Volleyball For All". This is all I ask of you: 24 volleyball balls and 2 volleyball nets delivered to the MTA to make a difference in the lives of around 40 children who love to play volleyball in Luanda. The MTA was founded in 2002 by catechist Manuel Matias and has always depended on more than 70% of its own funds. Through the MTA many lives have been transformed. Despite a lack of volleyball gear, trainees continue to wake up early, full of motivation for each day of training. This is because the MTA is much more than a training center. It is a family, a school of life, where children of low-income families are given the possibility to grow up in an environment to develop values such as friendship, team spirit, respect for differences, and commitment. An inspiring example is the case of Ariete de Jesus, a federated volleyball athlete who discovered her passion for the sport through the MTA. After months of hard work, she was transferred to one of the best national clubs, Petro de Luanda, where over time she became one of the main athletes, and even voted as the best player in the 2015 National Senior Women's Volleyball Championship. Since her first year at university, Ariete has been giving over 80% of her volleyball salary to support her studies at a private university in Angola. She is an inspiration to many of the children who now practice volleyball in the MTA and beyond. I personally developed my strong passion for volleyball over my 4 years of training at the center, and they have provided me with experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today, allowing me the rare opportunity to study abroad and open my eyes to different people and cultures. The MTA is currently considering their participation in the upcoming International championships organized by the Lusophone Commonwealth. By supporting the project you will be giving our athletes the possibility of acquiring better quality volleyball training.
