N95 Respirator
An N95 is a more tight-fitting protective respiratory mask. In addition to large droplets, sprays, and splashes, this respirator is specially designed to efficiently filter out 95% or more of the smallest particles in the air.
The respirator has an oval or circular shape with elastic bands designed to seal your nose and mouth tightly. Additionally, some have an exhalation valve, which aids in air circulation as well as regulation of heat and humidity buildup.
N95 respirators must be fit-tested to ensure a proper seal is formed on your face to offer the appropriate protection. Keep in mind that a tight seal isn’t achievable for some groups of people, such as people with beards and children.
