FRP tanks are divided into lining (anti-corrosion, anti-seepage layer), structural layer (reinforcement layer) and outer layer (anti-aging layer) according to the production sequence, in which the lining is made up of resin-rich layer and intermediate layer.

A. Resin-rich layer It is a corrosion resistant layer consisting of resin coat and two layers of surface felt. The resin content is more than 95% to ensure the corrosion resistance of FRP barrel.

B. Intermediate LayerIn order to prevent seepage layer, the main raw materials are alkali-free jet yarn and resin, which are formed by advanced jet technology in the industry. The resin content reaches 70-80% and the thickness is not less than 5 mm. This layer can effectively prevent the micro-cracks in the inner surface layer from spreading outwards, play a double-layer protective role, and ensure that the FRP trough is not leaked.

C. Structural LayerThis layer strengthens the inner lining, resists external loads on the tank body and ensures the stiffness and strength of the tank. The strength of the FRP tank made by winding process is far greater than that of the similar products made by hand paste, which uses glass cloth, circumferential winding and cross-spiral winding.

D. External layerIn order to prevent aging of storage tank equipment under outdoor ultraviolet radiation, UV ultraviolet absorbent was added into the resin layer to improve the service life of FRP tank.
