Good corrosion resistance and long service life
FRP pipes can resist the long-term erosion of various acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents, seawater, sewage and other chemical media. Pipes with different properties can be selected according to different media types and operating temperatures.
Exnt mechanical properties
The specific strength of FRP pipes is much higher than that of steel pipes and cast iron pipes because of their small proportion (1.8-2.1g/3) and high strength (> 300MPa). The stiffness of FRP pipes is greatly improved by adding resin mortar in the middle of pipe walls, which is suitable for laying in various soil environments and seabed.
_Exnt hydromechanical properties
The inner surface of FRP pipe is very smooth and the friction resistance is small (n < 0.0084), which can obviously reduce the pressure loss along the pipeincrease the flow rate. Under the same flow rate, the smaller diameter or power conveyor pump can be selected, thus reducing the initial investment of the project and saving energy consumption (reducing the operation cost).
_Good design and wide application range
FRP pipes with different pressure grades and special properties can be made by changing material selection, winding angle and ply design to meet different working pressure, medium, stiffness (or buried depth) requirements.
Antifouling, non-iv>
Smooth inner walls do not scale, do not breed algae and other microorganisms, no secondary pollution to water quality. Pipes made of food-grade resin can be used to transport drinking water.
_Few joints, good sealability
The length of a single FRP pipe is generally 12 meters. Double "O" type sealing rings are used for socket connection. Each joint can be tested and sealed reliably.
Light weight, easy to transport and install
The weight of FRP sand-filled pipes only accounts for 1/4 of the same size and length ductile iron pipes and 1/10 of the cement pipes. Convenient transportation, high installation efficiency and low cost.
