Royal quinoa is grown only in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, in the lands near the Uyuni salt flatlands and Coipasa, thus giving the unique and differential attributes: tastier, bigger, spongier, contains more nutrients than quinoa grown anywhere else.
Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) has been used since ancient times, especially in regions dominated by the Incas, for different dishes since they considered it the food of the gods. The protein from quinoa is rich is lysine and histidine, limiting amino acids found in grains such as cereals, and it approximates the standard given by the FAO for the nutritional requirements of humans; this gives it a high nutritional value, a quality which is currently attractive for national and international markets.
