GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROTARY TABLE TYPE WATER WELL DRILLING RIG, FOR DRILLING DEPTH UPTO 1000 TO 1500 FEET. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Truck mounted, powered from the truck engine through the full torque power take off rotary table type rig suitable for water well drilling by the direct mud rotary method. The rig should also be capable for air, aerated foam, down the hole hammer, when matched with suitable auxiliary equipment CAPACITY: The drilling rig should be capable to drill open hole of approximate 10 inch diameter to a capacity of depth upto not less than 700 feet by using 4？ inch diameter, 20 feet length drill pipe. Casing loads of 15000 kg should be easily handled using a multi-sheave travelling block. FRAME: The frame should be made of heavy duty, hot rolled steel sections, electrically welded and reinforced to support the various mechanical components of the rig. Adjustable driller's and helper's platforms should be fitted at the rear of the frame. All open deck areas should be plated with non slip checker plate. All shafts, chain and belt drives should be protected by removable safety guards. 2 Nos. Heavy duty lockable steel tool boxes should be built into the frame. STABILISING JACKS: 4 Nos. Levelling jacks, 4inch bore with 24 inch stroke, should be fitted to mounting built into the main frame. Jacks should be positioned at either side at the front of the frame and at either side at the rear of the frame. Each jack should have an individual control and automatic locking valve to prevent creeping and dropping in case of hose failure with a level indicator visible at the control position. The jacks should be fully enclosed in telescopic square tubing to take all lateral thrust and protect the cylinders and rods from the drilling chemicals and mud. Flexible type foot pads should be fitted. MAST: The mast should be fabricated from hot drawn 350 MPa strength, square steel tubing, electrically welded in an open front box design which provide superior strength while free standing, and enables easier handling of larger diameter casing. It should be a total gross rated capacity of 16000 KG. Its overall length of 10.0 meter which allow a working height of 9.25 meter above the rotary table. It should be raised and lowered by 2 Nos. Double acting, chrome plated hydraulic cylinders complete with fail safe check valves. The mast should be mechanically held in upright position while drilling. The mast crown consists of four 4 Nos. 12 inch sheaves for the hoisting and drilling Nos. 10 inch sheaves for the pulldown tension cables and 4 Nos. Extra sheaves to enable operation of the multi-sheave travelling blocks. The mast should also be fitted with guides to retract the kelly and swivel to the rear of the mast when running casing. TRAVELLING BLOCKS: 2 Nos. Double sheave travelling blocks fitted with 12 inch sheaves mounted on high capacity bearings should be supplied. 1No. Fitted with a 20 ton safety hook, should be received with the hoisting the other, received with the kelly o attached directly to the swivel bail and kelly. SWIVEL: A heavy duty bail type swivel, 2 ？ inch ID water course, should be attached to the kelly and mounted in a heavy duty steel pulldown guide yoke. Wash pipe and packings should be easily serviced or replaced in position on the rig. KELLY: The round fluted kelly 4 ？ inch OD X 2 ？ inch ID X 7.30 meter long should be fitted with a hand wheel type heavy duty kelly drive bushing complete with 3 4 inch diameter drive pins.
