Afri Skins Trading CC was registered in 2020 with the main focus of exporting Cape Fur Seal (Archtocephalus Pussilus) tanned and
dressed furs to the international arena of fur garment manufacturers, fashion houses and fashion designers. Our furs meet the highest
international quality standards and are tanned and dressed by our international award winning tannery in Namibia.
For centuries, seal fur and leather were used to protect communities from the natural elements as clothing. Namibia is the only country
in the world that is doing harvesting/farming of the Cape fur seal (Arctocephalus Pussilus) by annual quotas in concession areas as
approved by the Namibian government and under the CITES regulations. Today, artisans and designers are using it as a sustainable
solution for both function and fashion. The advantages of Cape Seal fur are: Incredibly warm, Extremely durable, Exceptionally versatile,
Wind & water resistant, Lightweight, Biodegradable and Affordable.
All Afri Skins Trading CC game products are 100% natural, endemic to Namibia, tanned and graded by a world award winning tannery
and according to the highest international standards. WWF has recognized Namibia for its outstanding conservation achievements with
a Gift to the Earth Award. Our policy is for 100% natural fur and have joined in the international action against synthetic/plastic faux fur
as well as the eradication of all plastics in oceans where our Cape fur seals live during their natural lives.
Afri Skins Trading CC will supply and issue all export documentation as requested by CITES and international trade for game products as
we have all legal documentation from source, veterinary documents, export status and CITES certification through the tannery.
The dressed fur from the Cape Fur Seal has many benefits over other dressed furs as can be seen in our Company profile and application
brochure and will ensure many extra practical applications to the international furrier fraternity.
