As a former Xinghuo Chemical Plant affiliated with the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the Jiangxi Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant under China National Chemical Corporation was founded in 1968. Jiangxi Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant-based Bluestar New Chemical Materials Co Ltd went public in May 2000. The technique for organic methyl monomer has reached globlal standards. ChemChina invested 8 billion yuan ($1.27 billion) on August 9, 2009 to introduce French BSI's advanced technology to construct a production line, with annual capacity of 400,000 tons of organic silicone monomer and 240,000 tons of organic silicone-related downstream products. By 2015, Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant will achieve annual output of 700,000 tons of organic silicone monomer with annual sales revenues of 10 billion yuan.
